Trip location: Arnold River, Grey River (lower section)
Clients: 8x John Paul II high school and 5x Karamea Area school students

Duration of the activity: Three full days
Weather conditions: Overcast, rain heavy at times, cold temperatures
A short narrative which shares your learning and highlights: These three days the students were doing unit standards of learning to become a raft guide, so we taught the students how to guide a raft on flat sheltered water. The first day we taught them strokes and we did a quick trip down the Arnold River, the last two days the students were mainly guiding down the Grey River working on their guiding. I found these three days very fun and rewarding because it was cool to see the students improving as the days went on.
